CLIENT: Group Health
INDUSTRY: Health Care
ROLE: UX Architect, Slalom Consulting
LOCATION: Pacific Northwest

Group Health was a leading provider of health care in the Northwest, with over 600,000 members (they are now part of Kaiser). As the UX/UI lead for Slalom on the project, I worked extensively on interface elements and illustration to create the first version of their iPhone app. At the time of its release, the app led the market with some incredible features that allowed members to access lab results, make appointments, check wait times at clinics, talk to health care professionals, and it also allowed the public to navigate a model of the human body to see what ailments their symptoms might correspond with.

This was an award winning, long-term project, particularly exciting for the way it empowered both patients and the medical community. This was the first mobile health app to integrate with EPIC.
